Here we have soldiers from the R Mon RE(M) Headquarters taking part in a Maximum Aerobic Speed (MAS as its better known ) physical training session. MAS is the lowest running speed at which max oxygen uptake occurs. The training is also designed over a period of time to gradually build up the soldiers endurance from running in trainers without weight to finally running in boots with a Bergen (with a specific weight). Our resident RAPTI briefed the soldiers on the format and requirements of the training via the use of strategically placed white board and kept them on their toes throughout.
